the values of RFID, 2D barcodes, and a combination of the two technologies. These calculations
may vary slightly depending on Tinker’s processes and data provided.
AIT Framework Example Returns
The return sheet will be the focus of this section of the document. Consider the information at
top of the page. The first items the user will see are System Requirements, Required Amount, and
Total Cost. Under the System Requirements is a list of the various items and their associated cost
needed for a 2D Barcode system and a passive RFID system. The costs are based on the current
market value without discounts. Writeable and rewriteable tags are listed under the RFID system
as well. Beneath the Required Amount is a list of numbers representing estimates of the amount
required for the corresponding item within the AIT system. However, the amounts for these
items may differ depending on how many of the item is actually needed. For example, for the
purposes of this project, the assumption here is that readers and antennas will be placed at
ingress and egress points as well as on forklifts and operator locations where the items are
scanned upon receiving and shipping. These readers and antenna are also needed in the TSF for
scanning repaired items and monitoring ingress and egress of product as it enters and leaves the
repair center. The Total Cost column is comprised of numbers that are calculated by multiplying
the cost of an item by the required amount of the item needed.
